Does planning a session length help anyone else play better?

I've noticed a significant difference in my performance in certain online games when I stick to a predetermined session length versus just playing until I feel like stopping. When I plan ahead, I feel more focused and less prone to making impulsive decisions, which usually leads to a much better experience overall. I'm curious if anyone else has found that explicitly planning their session length, even for just short bursts, genuinely helps them play better or maintain better focus? It seems to work for me.

It absolutely makes a difference! Planning my session length has been a game-changer for me, especially in those fast-paced competitive environments where every decision counts. I used to just dive in and play for an hour or two, but I'd often find myself getting tired and making careless mistakes towards the end. Now, I try to go in with a goal of X minutes, and it really helps me stay sharp. I actually read an article recently about how timing and session control shape better results in games, which really reinforced this idea for me. It highlighted that shorter, focused sessions can prevent decision fatigue and keep your strategy on point.
